The BVA has disabled essay scholarships for veterans. The Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) will award a total of (6) veterans scholarships under a program called the Kathern F. Gruber Scholarship. The amount of each disabled scholarship is for $2,000 each. The Scholarship Committee will choose six recipients and three alternates. This is the 26th year of this veterans scholarship program. Dependent children and spouses of blinded veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces only are eligible for the disability essay scholarships for veterans. Veteran must be leglly blind either during active duty or not. This is an essay scholarship of 300 words to be turned in with the veteran scholarship application.
