ASEV is a large organization with their main focus on enology and viticulture, which means the science of wine production and the growing of the best grapes to be used in making fine wines. An scholarship in agriculture does not lead to picking grapes in a grape field and such. It’s far from this, and has evolved into a high tech industry. Annually, ASEV sponsors a very large gathering in California which is a wine show. It’s one of the largest in the country.
